In Dazed and Confused, we're often directed to pay attention to the philosophical struggles of Randall "Pink" Floyd. He's debating his place in the world, his relationships with sports and drugs, and his future. When I watched the movie this time around, I found myself less interested in Pink's philosophy and more interested in Don's philosophy. The titular overall-wearing jock, Don justifies his actions towards the end of the move.
